People and Hand Emoji

Copy and paste hand, gesture, body and people emoji, such as πŸ‘, πŸ‘‹ and πŸ™, including jobs, activities and family. Search by name. Free, in your browser.

How it works

Each emoji comes with an official name from the Unicode emoji list and a set of keywords from the Unicode CLDR project. The search shows an emoji when every word you type appears in its name or keywords (capitals do not matter), or when you paste the emoji itself. Whole-word matches in the name come first, then whole-word matches in the keywords, then partial matches, and short names before long ones. This page shows the People and Body group: hands and gestures, body parts, people, their jobs and activities, and families. Click or tap an emoji to copy it. Emoji with skin tone variants are listed once, in the standard form.

Example: type β€œthumbs” to find πŸ‘ and πŸ‘Ž, or β€œfamily” to see the family emoji.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there no skin tone options here?

The list shows the standard version of each emoji, drawn in a neutral color. To get a skin tone, press and hold the emoji on your phone keyboard, or on a computer use the emoji panel of your system (Windows key + period, Control + Command + Space on a Mac).

What is in this group?

Hands and gestures, body parts, people in many roles such as πŸ§‘β€πŸ³ and πŸ§‘β€πŸš€, people doing sports and activities, and family emoji.

Why do some people emoji look like several emoji joined?

Many are sequences of simpler emoji joined by an invisible character, for example πŸ§‘β€πŸš€ is a person plus a rocket. Apps that do not support the sequence may show the parts side by side.

How do I tell a thumbs up from other hands?

Search the name: β€œthumbs up” finds πŸ‘. The tooltip and the line above the list show the official name of each emoji.

Is my search sent to a server?

Search runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
